Hatcut Chat mode — Claude Code guide

Read this whole file, then do the work. Do not stop after install.

If MCP is not connected yet, the user can paste:

1. Add the hosted MCP (Streamable HTTP):

claude mcp add --transport http hatcut https://api.hatcut.com/mcp

If your CLI uses a different flag, add a server named hatcut pointing at https://api.hatcut.com/mcp.

2. Verify:

claude mcp get hatcut

You should see tools: get_product_info, create_project, import_media, read_project, set_segments, set_captions, set_thumbnail, set_heading, analyze_creative, apply_creative, suggest_titles, update_descriptions, submit_export, track_export, get_editor_url.

Call get_product_info (no session) when the user asks about languages, pricing, or campaign links. Pass utm_campaign=es_latam|de|fr|zh|15day_bet|india and optional utm_content=capcut_alt. es_mx remaps to es_latam.

3. First edit (new session after MCP is connected):

- Call create_project. Save sessionToken and editorUrl.
- Tell the user to open editorUrl and drop their video, then click Transcribe.
- Call read_project with sessionToken. Review segments.
- set_segments to keep main lines (kept=1) and cut silence/filler (kept=0).
- Call analyze_creative with apply=true to auto-set title, heading, thumbnail text, sparse zooms, and fade/slide/wipe transitions (no flip).
- Or edit suggestions then apply_creative / set_heading / set_thumbnail.
- Optional: set_captions / suggest_titles (upload titles + captions + hashtags). Then update_descriptions to pick or rewrite a caption.
- For a captioned file: submit_export then track_export. Give the user editorUrl and downloadUrl.
- Silence-only downloads happen in the browser Export button (free, no VPS credit).

Rules
- Do not invent tracks, items, or motion graphics.
- Do not ask the user to sign in. This surface is public.
- Platform URLs (YouTube/TikTok/Instagram) are not imported via MCP — the human must drop a file on editorUrl.
- Credits: 3 transcribes + 3 captioned renders per session.
